Aerial Mapping / UAV Services

Cash Waggner & Associates’ (CWA) newest survey additions - fixed-wing, quadcopter drone, and an FAA-Certifed pilot to better serve our clients.

“We are always looking to provide cost effectiveness and effciency for our clients and adding UAV services will do just that.” says firm President, Calvin B. Cash, III, PLS.

At less than 1” per pixel resolution from the fixed-wing drone, CWA offers our clients effcient color aerial visuals that may be used to create Digital Surface Model (DSM) of the ground, roads, and structures. Whether overseeing construction phases, quantitative data, or verifying the effectiveness of a Maintenance of Traffic Plan, the data generated can be customized based on your needs without having to rely on outdated aerial imagery commonly used today.

Saving time and money for our clients is important. With CWA’s UAV services, we are able to fly a site in 50-60 minutes (real-time), reducing the number of flights, which reduces costs to our clients by nearly 50%.
CWA can cover up to 4.6 square miles and produce over 1-million points with real-time accurate data, in 15 minutes per flight. The amount of usable data our survey-grade drone can collect clearly sets our services apart from conventional surveying techniques, which saves more time.

Not having a salary/beneft package for an employee doing the work, equipment, computer/sofware, vehicle expense/insurance, or the upkeep of a UAV pilot’s license/training are factors to consider. For the time that it takes to train a person, as well as learn the sofware, it would take nearly double the work to get the quantities for the jobs being performed.

When running a large-scale business, owners simply don’t have the time to retrain staff. By having an experienced pilot coupled with the responsiveness and timeliness of CWA, our clients will get the peace of mind in knowing the job is done right and to their expectations.

Our UAV Services can provide the means, tools and expertise to help navigate the often complex process of integrating UAV into your business workflow while providing solutions that leverage the technology and help your bottom lines.

As a trusted partner for UAV/Drone operations, CWA will allow your organization the ability to focus on the core of your own business needs.

Capture More Data, More Safely

Anyone involved in aggregate knows that worker safety is of great importance. By allowing surveyors to collect accurate spatial data from above, drone or UAV technology can vastly reduce risk by minimizing the time these staff spend on site. Utilizing a drone for data collection can also increase productivity. Surveying projects that once took days or weeks using traditional surveying methods now take just a few hours, allowing you to focus on what you do best. Plus, with the ability to collect data from above, there is no downtime required while surveyors move around a pit, such as with terrestrial surveying instruments. Requiring fewer man hours to produce large, accurate data sets, and the need for externallysourced imagery results in vastly reduced costs.

With CWA UAV services, our clients are able to measure their stockpiles 2X more frequently, while spending 3X less time overall, allowing our clients to concentrate their efforts on the core of their business.
